Liz (Mayerlin) Lopez earned second place in the drawing contest, and seven other Freeman students competed in the 2023 ARTWARS competition on the USD campus today. It was a fun day for the Freeman students who attended!

Hats off to our School Counselor, Mrs. Kris Sweeter. This week is National Counselor Appreciation week, and we appreciate everything that Mrs. Sweeter does for our school!
Our music students did a great job at the Region I Music Contest yesterday. Mixed Choir, Girls Glee, Girls 9, & Boys ensembles received superior ratings. Ryleigh Dent and Dorthea Naatjes received superiors for vocal solos, and Claire Hofer received a superior for her piano solo.

1. Rebel Wrestling will go to the Parker Wrestling Tournament tomorrow at 10:00 AM instead of the tournament in Wagner.
2. The BBB Irene-Wakonda Classic scheduled for tomorrow has been postponed to February 11, 2023.

Due to high winds and blowing snow conditions, the Freeman School District will be closing at 12:00 pm noon on Wednesday, January 25th, 2023. All evening practices and activities will be canceled.

Here are the 2023 Junior Honor Choir delegates from Freeman School District with director Iwona Lewter. The group traveled to Rapid City this weekend for for rehearsals and gave an outstanding performance in the afternoon on Saturday, January 21, 2022. Great work!


Congratulations to our girls and boys basketball teams in their games vs. Menno today. The Flyers won all 5 games (Boy C, Boys JV, Girls JV, Girls Varsity, and Boys Varsity) - a clean sweep! Great work, Flyers!

The 8th Grade Career Fair scheduled for Thursday, January 19, 2023 has been postponed to Thursday, January 26, 2023 due to impending inclement weather.
