Last night, we recognized our four volleyball seniors at Senior Night. Thanks to Ava Andersen, Cami Fransen, Ashlin Jacobsen, and Zenovia Butler for your contributions to the Flyer Volleyball program. Go Flyers!
To its owner, the FFA jacket is a physical reminder of the personal accomplishments achieved through the organization - a symbol of commitment and dedication for all who wear the corduroy. This fall, a record number 450 South Dakota FFA members from 84 chapters, received their own FFA jacket - carrying forward that long-standing tradition of pride, dignity and honor. Freeman’s jackets were sponsored by Dakota Grain Connection, GDM Solutions, Inc & Agtegra Cooperative through the SD FFA Foundation program. FFA members filled out the Blue Jackets Bright Futures FFA Jacket Program application, answering short essay questions about their FFA experience and goals, competing to earn their own FFA jacket instead of purchasing one. 2023 recipients from Freeman are: Megan Mendel, Ethan Buchmann, Ruth Glanzer, & Olivia Smith.
Congratulations to the Phoenix on their 32-28 win over the Buffaloes in Ft. Pierre tonight. The Phoenix head to Platte next Thursday to take on the Platte-Geddes Black Panthers in 9AA Quarterfinal action. Go Phoenix!

The Freeman FFA was awarded a check from Zoetis for $245.03 as a part of the Zoetis Industry Support Program. Each year local veterinary, animal health resellers and distributor customers select local FFA chapters to contribute to their local FFA programs. This year Zoetis helped contribute more than $374,000 to local FFA chapters nationwide. Both Sioux Nation Ag Centers and Bengston Veterinary Service selected the Freeman FFA chapter to receive these funds. Representing the Freeman FFA to receive the check are Riley Knittel, Ava Andersen, Emily Knodel, Hunter Beynon, Blake Stahl & Kaytlin Pankratz. The Freeman Chapter has 32 students rostered.

Congratulations to our cross country runners today at the Region meet in Burke. Brayden Mangel placed 7th, Lane McCune placed 10th, and Olivia Schultz placed 15th. All three runners are headed to the state meet in Sioux Falls on October 21, 2023. Great job, Flyers!
