Due to spring state testing for our 7th and 8th grade students, we will be following a modified schedule from April 27 through April 30.

Please be sure to review the updated schedule and plan accordingly. We appreciate your flexibility and support as we work to provide the best testing environment for our students!

The softball quad scheduled for tomorrow (Saturday, April 25, 2026) has been cancelled due to inclement weather. It will not be rescheduled.

A little wind 💨 didn’t slow down the Flyer Track & Field Team yesterday! At the end of a great day at the Flyer invite, our athletes came out on top, sweeping both the boys and girls team scores!! 🙌🏻 Awesome team effort!

Great job by our golfers today at Valley View! Junior high and high school athletes were on the course for a triangular with Alcester-Hudson and Parker. Top placers in each division:

JH Girls: Raelynn Taylor 1st, Lili Lachman 3rd, and Noelle Friesen 6th

🎓✨ Senior Spotlight: Cameron Rollag!

Cameron plans to attend Lake Area Technical College in Watertown to major in Welding Technology 🔥🛠️ He’s ready to spark his future, fuse his skills, and build a strong career one weld at a time! ⚡

Fun Fact: Something Cam is known for — his greasy jeans from all his mechanical work 👖🔧 Proof he’s not afraid to get his hands dirty and put in the work! 💪

We’re proud of you, Cameron — your future is looking solid and built to last! 👏🎉

Freeman Parents and Spectators,

Reminder that the Flyer Invitational is today 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️. We will have a 12:00 PM dismissal. Lunch will be served, and buses will run their regular afternoon routes 🚌.

Field events will begin at 12:15 PM, and running events will start at 3:00 PM ⏱️.

There are some changes this year — the main grandstand has already been torn down to prepare for new developments taking place this summer 🏗️.

Concessions will be provided by food trucks this year, including Cow Polk Cafe, J & J Concessions, and the Good News coffee truck ☕🍔.

Bathrooms/Bad Weather: The school will be open, with both DOOR 4 (The Hangar Entrance) and the MAIN doors (DOOR 1) available 🚪. Visiting locker rooms and main bathrooms will be accessible, and there will be four port-a-pots located behind the temporary stands on the home side of the track 🚻.

Please bring lawn chairs, as seating will be limited compared to previous years 🪑.

Great work out of these boys at the JV meet in Scotland on April 21. We had two medalist. Pete Rembold finished 3rd and Trey Maske finished 11th.

🏆✨ Our Food Science Team placed 1st at the SD FFA State Convention, earning a trip to Nationals in Indianapolis! ✨ Individually: Katalyn Juhnke 2nd, Libby Ammann 5th, Adelyn Becker 13th. Also competing was Isabel Waltner. Excellent Job ladies! 💙💛

Our Ag Mechanics Team took the stage at the South Dakota FFA State Convention, placing 3rd overall! 🔧👏 Individually: Ethan Buchmann 2nd, Jackson Buchmann 8th, Lane Becker 18th. Also competing was Logun Pankratz. Huge thanks to Chris Buchmann for helping coach the team! 💙💛

The Freeman FFA Chapter 🌟 earned a Superior Chapter Award at the South Dakota FFA State Convention and took 3rd place in the Building Communities category! 👏💙💛
