𝗣𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗔𝗚𝗢𝗡 𝗖𝗛𝗔𝗠𝗣𝗦!🏀 Tonight the Flyers Boys Basketball Team wrapped up their Pentagon season as the Summer League Champs!🥇 𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗚𝗥𝗔𝗧𝗦 𝗙𝗟𝗬𝗘𝗥𝗦!! 👏🏻👏🏻 Way to put in the work! Job Well Done!

The main Jr.- Sr. High School entrance and lunch room are closed today for waxing. For access to the gyms, locker rooms, and weight room, use the north ES gym door. For access to the HS office, use the far NE HS outside door. Normal access will resume tomorrow morning.

Freeman Jr.-Sr. High School will be offering SWAY testing to all athletes in grades 7-12 this fall on Tuesday, July 16, 2024. See the attached flyer for details. Testing will take place as follows: HS Boys - 10:00 AM, HS Girls 11:00 AM, JH Boys, 1:00 PM, and JH Girls 2:00 PM. Testing will take about 45 minutes. Please bring your smartphone or tablet with the SWAY app installed, and arrive for the testing 10 minutes before your scheduled session. The cost for testing is $3.00 payable to Freeman High School.

Reminder - the SDHSAA Summer Moratorium runs from July 1 - 7. No team or coach/athlete activities are allowed during this time. The HS gym floor is being refinished during this same time and is off limits. The ES gym and weight room are still accessible via the ES gym doors.

Our young team gained experience at the state tourney at the Brookings Country Club. The Flyers top placer was Tannen Auch who tied for 36th. Congrats to all the boys on a great season!

𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗚𝗥𝗔𝗧𝗦 𝗕𝗢𝗬𝗦!! 🙌🏻 These same four gentlemen ran 3 relays together this weekend, pre-lims and finals,and gave it everything they had each time! 💪🏻Their 4x100M Relay finished 🥈 2nd in finals with a time of 44.84! 💪🏻The 4x200 M Relay finished 7th overall with a time of 135.88! 💪🏻 The 4x400 M Relay finished 6th with an awesome PR time of 3:31.87!! 𝗦𝗢 𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗨𝗗 𝗢𝗙 𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗦𝗘 𝗕𝗢𝗬𝗦!!! 🏃🏻‍♂️ Luke Peters also ran the Open 200M Dash and finished 15th overall with a time of 23.77! 🏃🏻‍♂️Tate Sorensen ran the 400 M Dash in a time of 53.49 and missed finals by .07 seconds!!! 𝗔𝗠𝗔𝗭𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗪𝗢𝗥𝗞 𝗙𝗟𝗬𝗘𝗥𝗦!

𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗚𝗥𝗔𝗧𝗦 to our Girls 4x100 M Relay for finishing 🥉 3rd in the finals today…. and 𝗕𝗥𝗢𝗞𝗘 their school record set onThursday.  The final PR time and now official FHS school record is 51.24. 🙌🏻 Running that relay was Rylee Peters, Makenzie Scharberg, Vaida Ammann and Zenovia Butler. 𝗔𝗠𝗔𝗭𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗪𝗢𝗥𝗞 𝗟𝗔𝗗𝗜𝗘𝗦! 👏🏻Our 4x200M Relay did a fantastic job finishing 6th in finals today!!! Those ladies included Zenovia Butler, Peyton McCune, Vaida Ammann and Makenzie Scharberg!!! They finished with a time of 1:50.23! 𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗚𝗥𝗔𝗧𝗦 𝗟𝗔𝗗𝗜𝗘𝗦! 🏃🏻‍♀️ Our 4x400 M Relay had a Huge PR and finished 6th overall today in finals with a time of 4:11.80. Those ladies include Cadence Hofer, Rylee Peters, Vaida Ammann and Zenovia Butler! 𝓢𝓸 𝓹𝓻𝓸𝓾𝓭 𝓸𝓯 𝓪𝓵𝓵 𝓸𝓾𝓻 𝓛𝓪𝓭𝔂 𝓕𝓵𝔂𝓮𝓻𝓼! 👏🏻👏🏻

𝗦𝗛𝗘 𝗗𝗜𝗗 𝗜𝗧 𝗔𝗚𝗔𝗜𝗡! Rylee Peters placed 3rd🥉 and 𝗕𝗥𝗢𝗞𝗘 her own school record in the finals of the 300M Hurdles today! 💪🏻 Today’s clocking was a huge PR for her, running 46.56 and beating her prior school record of 47.22.   🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻 Congrats Rylee!

𝗞𝗘𝗘𝗣 𝗔𝗡 𝗘𝗬𝗘 𝗢𝗡 𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗦𝗘 𝗧𝗪𝗢👏🏻 The future is bright! ⭐️ 👏🏻Congrats to 8th grader Lane McCune on two amazing PR races this weekend! Lane finished 11th in 3200M run with a PR time of 10:32.60! 🙌🏻 Lane also finished the 1600M run in record time finishing 15th overall in 4:49.96! Truly an incredible season Lane! 🏃🏻‍♂️ Braydan Mangel, 8th grade, came into the 800M run 24th but after an awesome run in a tough race, he finished 19th overall (2:10.98) 🙌🏻 Keep it going Braydan!!!!🏃🏻‍♂️

𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘁𝘀 to our Boys Medley Relay! The time coming in had us sitting 22nd and we went out 18th overall in Class B! We are very proud of these boys! 👏🏻 8th grader-Brody Sorensen, Junior-Chris Aasen, 8th grader- Luke Miller, and 8th grader-Braydan Mangel
