Update! The Boys JV and Girls JV games vs. Centerville have switched gyms for tonight. The JV girls will now be playing in the HS gym at 5:00 PM, and the JV boys will be playing the the ES gym at 5:00 PM. Due to the late swap, the NFHS streams will still show the opposite for those two games.

🌟 Freeman FFA District Success! 🌟

🎉Congratulations Katalyn Juhnke for competing in the District 3 STAR Greenhand category and earning runner-up honors yesterday in Canton! This award recognizes the most outstanding first-year FFA member, highlighting their strong Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE) plans, active participation, and emerging leadership, with winners selected at the chapter level to compete at districts. One winner from each district is recognized at the State Convention in April.

And a big shoutout to to Gideon Rembold on successfully passing the District Reviews for his State FFA Degree application! 🎉 Gideon will take the stage at State Convention in April to officially earn his degree — one of the highest honors in FFA, recognizing outstanding leadership, community service, and SAE excellence. 👏💙💛

📐➗ Introducing Mr. Jackson Fiegen! Our 6th grade homeroom teacher and math extraordinaire is always adding up success and multiplying learning. When the bell rings, he switches gears—drawing up plays, coaching hard, and helping our athletes score big! 🏀📊👏

😊✨ Introducing Mrs. Brenda Golder! Our elementary paraprofessional is often seen around the building sharing smiles and kind words. With empathy in her heart and encouragement to spare, Mrs. Golder helps brighten every student’s day! 💙🍎

This weekend, Jocelyn Lee and Cadence Hofer are participating in the Morningside University Vocal Arts Festival in Sioux City! The festival provides advanced instruction in choral performance and vocal technique, along with opportunities to collaborate with a prominent living composer. Students prepare and perform exceptional choral literature and attend masterclasses focused on voice-specific topics. A select group of students—including Jocelyn and Cadence—were chosen to receive solo voice instruction from Morningside’s esteemed voice faculty. ⭐ Even more exciting, Jocelyn is a semifinalist to sing a solo in the Monday night concert! We’ll find out tomorrow if she has been selected as one of the three soloists. This year’s composer-in-residence is Kyle Pederson, a nationally and internationally recognized composer from the Minneapolis, MN area. The festival choir—made up over 200 students from Iowa, South Dakota, and Nebraska—will perform on Monday, January 12 at 7:00 PM at the Eppley Auditorium. We are so proud of Jocelyn and Cadence for representing our program!

Marion-Freeman Rebels wrestled well in Garretson today at the Jessie James Invitational. All of the wrestlers showed off their talent and worked hard today! Families are invited to attend the Sioux Falls Stampede game on Saturday, January 17 to celebrate Agriculture Night!
It will be a fun-filled evening for all ages, packed with hockey, community, and ag pride.
