🍎 South Dakota Crunch Off! Today 2 of our FFA leaders - Katalyn, President, and Remi, Secretary - kicked off the Phoenix pep rally with the South Dakota Crunch Off 🎉 This statewide event celebrates bringing local foods into our schools! Our entire K–12 student body took one giant CRUNCH into a fresh, local apple at the same time. 🍏👏A huge thank-you to Kerry and Lori Hofer for generously donating the delicious local apples that made this event possible! .🌽 Join in more Crunch fun Friday night! Are you feeling lucky?  The FHS Junior class will be holding a 50/50 raffle during the Homecoming football game to raise money for the upcoming prom. Tickets can be purchased inside the admission gate at the football field...please purchase tickets and help support Prom fundraising.

📢 Reminder:🚌 There will be NO afternoon bus routes on Friday, October 10, 2025.
🌅 Morning routes will run as scheduled.🍽️ Students will be served lunch before being dismissed at 12:00 p.m. (noon) to attend the 🎉 parade at 1:00 p.m.
🐷 The Music Boosters will host a Pork BBQ Fundraiser in the HS lunchroom from 5:00–6:30 p.m.

😍Our elementary students did a fantastic job showing their spirit for USA Day during Homecoming Week! Dressed in red, white, and blue, they lit up the halls with Flyer pride! ❤️🤍💙

On October 8th, South Dakota All-State Chorus delegates and alternates from Freeman Public School attended a workshop at the University of South Dakota in Vermillion. Students spent the day rehearsing with singers from other area schools to prepare for the upcoming All-State event. The All-State Chorus and Orchestra performance will take place on November 1, 2025 at the Denny Sanford Premier Center in Sioux Falls. The event is open to the public.

Join the FFA’s Local Beef Campaign! The FFA is excited to kick off a new campaign to bring locally raised beef to our school lunch program!

Did you know our school uses around 1,600 pounds of beef each year? This year, due to high market prices, beef isn’t available through federal funding—so we’re asking for a little community help to keep our lunch program delicious and local!

How You Can Help:

If you’re a local producer willing to contribute a beef animal, your donation will go directly toward feeding students in our district.
💵 Make a Monetary Donation
Every dollar helps us purchase and process local beef for school meals.
