Some Track updates: 1. Track practice today, April 4, 2023, is cancelled for all 6-12 athletes. 2. The FHS Running for Kobee fundraiser has been moved to Thursday, April 6, 2023. 6th grade runners will now join the event. 3. Instead of going to the meet in Salem on April 11, 2023 that was cancelled, Varsity track runners will now be attending a meet in Centerville that day. Field events start at noon, and running events start at 1:30 PM.
On Wednesday (4-5-23), the FHS track team is participating in a fundraiser for Kobee Sherman, a Viborg-Hurley student athlete recently diagnosed with osteosarcoma. Please see the attached form for all the details on how to you can sponsor our runners to help with this cause.
Due to the volume of snow still on the track and being unable to get the facilities ready for the meet, McCook Central has cancelled the Rasmussen Relays track meet scheduled for April 11, 2023 in Salem.
The Freeman Flyers Golf fan gear store is now open! Get your golf gear by April 3rd, 2023 at 11:59 PM. Orders will be distributed at Freeman High School around April 14th, 2023.

Due to the weather, the Phoenix SB games scheduled for today at Dakota Valley have been cancelled.
2023 FHS Prom Grand March will be LiveStreamed on the school YouTube channel.

Prom Photos will begin at 2:30pm. Please see the scheduled time. Juniors and Seniors - Prom check in time will take place from 4:45-5:15pm for the banquet. All other prom guests can check in from 6:15-6:45pm.
Doors open to the public at 6:45pm. The Grand March will begin at 7pm. The dance is now scheduled until 10:15pm, and post prom as been postponed to a later date. If the weather turns bad prior to 10:15 and the evening needs to be called off a message will go out to parents.
Bridgewater-Emery has made the decision to cancel the Dan Clarke Relays scheduled for April 6, 2023. The meet will not be rescheduled.

The students in Mrs. Goosen's HS Life Skills class planned a baby shower for their Occupational Therapist. The decorations they put up look great. Nice job to those students!

Due to field conditions in Freeman, the softball DH scheduled for Monday, April 3 in Freeman has been moved to Avon. There will be 1 JV game at 5:00 PM followed by 1 Varsity game.

Thanks to SDHP troopers Mohr and Johnson for bringing their police service dogs (PSDs) Brio and Raya to meet with our students on Tuesday, March 21. They provided our students with wealth of good information, and we loved meeting their PSD partners!
Phoenix softball schedule changes: The varsity softball DH scheduled for March 27, 2023 @Tri-Valley has been postponed. The varsity softball tournament scheduled for Saturday, April 1, 2023 in Beresford has been moved to the Dakota Valley school field on the same date.
