Be sure to look for the Freeman School District 33-1 employment flyer available at the FCDC Drive Thru Hiring Event on Monday, October 16, 2023. The event will take place in the Freeman Shopping Center parking lot from 3:30 - 5:30 PM.
The Freeman Academy soccer team has qualified for the soccer quarterfinals.
They will be playing the Belle Fourche Broncs on Thursday, October 5 at 4:30 pm (moved from Tuesday) at the FA soccer field. There will be a concession stand serving hamburgers, hotdogs, and brats.

Freeman Activities for the Week of October 2 - 7, 2023
It's renewal time for the public access Bluetooth credentials to the school gym facilities. If you currently have access to the gyms using your cell phone, those credentials will expire on September 30. The annual renewal fee is $10 per device/user. Contact Mr. Loofbourrow (seth.loofbourrow@k12.sd.us) for details on renewing. He will also be set up in the HS lunchroom during varsity volleyball on Monday night (9-25-23)to process renewals.

We have an important update regarding our upcoming football game that we would like to share with you. Due to the forecasted weather in Colome, SD tomorrow, the Phoenix Football game has been moved up to a 4:00pm start.
We understand the excitement and support our students have for our Phoenix football team, and we want to encourage that spirit. Although we will have a regularly scheduled school day, we will be making the following allowance for students planning to attend the game as fans to cheer on the Phoenix:
*Students can be exempt from school starting at 1:00pm tomorrow to allow them ample time to make their way to Colome to support our athletes. (Parents will be responsible for calling the main office tomorrow prior to 1:00pm for this exemption to take place.)
We kindly ask that parents ensure their children’s safety and provide appropriate transportation arrangements if they plan to attend the game.

Congratulations to our cross country team on a great performance at the Cornbelt Conference meet today in Howard.
Boys varsity: Braydan Mangel 2nd, Lane McCune 4th, and along with Josh Olesen's help they placed 1st as a team. It's the first time since 2010 that our varsity boys have won the conference meet.
Varsity girls: Olivia Schultz 7th
JV boys: Owen Andersen 4th, Gideon Rembold 8th
JH boys: Korbin Jensen 2nd, Collin Randall 3rd, and along with Liam Loofbourrow and Pete Rembold's help, they placed first as a team. This is the fourth year in a row that our JH boys have won the conference meet.
The Flyers JH, C, JV, and Varsity volleyball teams play in Menno tomorrow night starting at 4:00 PM with the 8th grade. Menno's LiveStream link is http://wolves.liveticket.tv/. Good luck to our volleyball players and coaches, and we'll see you at the games!
