FREEMAN SCHOOL DISTRICT 33-1
The following school board position(s) will become vacant due to the expiration of the present term(s) of office of the following School Board members:
David Downs, Appointed School Board Member, Three (3) year term beginning July 1, 2026
Circulation of nominating petitions may begin on February 2, 2026, and petitions may be filed in the office of the Business Manager located at 1001 S. Wipf St., Freeman, SD 57029 between the hours of 8:00am and 5:00pm Monday through Friday Central Standard Time no later than the 24th of March 2026, at 5:00pm.

🎶 Freeman High School Choir Shines at Region 1 Contest! 🎶
On Wednesday, February 11th, Freeman High School Choir students participated in the Region 1 Small Group Vocal Contest and delivered outstanding performances!
✨ 8 small groups performed
🏅 7 groups earned Superior ratings
👏 1 group received an Excellent rating
🌟 Our Boys 9 Ensemble received a perfect score!
We also had several outstanding solo performances:
🎤 Jocelyn Lee earned a Superior rating for her vocal solo and received a perfect score!
🎹 Liam Loofbourrow, Reeslyn Hofer, and Cadence Hofer received Superior ratings for their piano solos.
🌟 Reeslyn Hofer and Cadence Hofer also earned perfect scores!

You’ll find Mr. Andersen in the shop sparks flying (safely! 😉) as he teaches students the fundamentals of woodworking and welding. When he’s not building skills and confidence in the classroom, he’s advising and cheering on our students in SkillsUSA competitions. Hands-on learning is his specialty! 🔨🔥🏆
